Wildlife Ascending is a 300-foot-long mural depicting the ascent of one hundred and one Colorado wildlife species, starting with creatures found in the riparian zone, over to species that populate the grassland, upland to wildlife that roam the foothills and forests, all the way to animals that inhabit the alpine tundra of our Rocky Mountains. The mural is located on the hill leading up to Manitou High School. Wildlife Ascending is funded by the Manitou Arts, Culture and Heritage Initiative.
