Paige is a printmaker, painter, art educator and farmer based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art (Colorado College, 2019) and a Masters of Arts in Teaching for Art Education (Colorado College, 2022). Her work as a farmer informs the content of her artwork, and her work as a teacher inspires constant experimentation.
Paige’s artistic practice centers upon close observations of natural patterns and forms. She creates observational art as a way to get to know the natural world around her. While Paige depicts plants realistically, she create compositions beyond what can be directly observed. She gathers distinct characteristics of each plant and repositions them to create new visual relationships. This style presents novel ways of seeing the biodiversity and interdependence of life in a particular place.
